Shalom Medical Ministry
The staff at Shalom Medical Clinic is dedicated to treating all patients with skilled medical care and compassion. Healings have taken place, miracles have been witnessed, babies have been birthed, and lives have been changed in this small village clinic for the past five years.
Villagers come from surrounding areas to receive free medical examinations and treatments during Shalom Clinic’s bi-annual community medical outreaches. The reputation of excellent medical care and available doctors has spread throughout the district creating the need for more space and more services.
Shalom Medical Clinic
In 2014 IAM established a small medical clinic in a remote village of a poverty stricken area of southern Uganda near the Tanzania border. The clinic was founded by two Ugandan doctors, Dr. Dan Ssempanyi and Dr. Roy Namutebi, and the IAM administrator, Henry Lutwama. Within months of its opening, Shalom realized the need for inpatients, and IAM secured a building to serve as a general ward with six beds in 2015.

Shalom Medical Center
Plans to begin construction of the new Shalom Medical Center have begun. A large site has been purchased one mile from the current clinic. The doctors participated in planning the layout of the facility, and the blueprints were done by a Ugandan architect. The new Shalom Medical Center will not only be a larger building, but will also be a medical community representing the totality of the meaning of the word Shalom: peace, harmony, wholeness, completeness, prosperity, welfare, and tranquility as found in the loving transformative and healing power of our Savior.
The true vision for Shalom is to become a complete healing compound treating the body, mind, and spirit of its patients with loving care and compassion serving as both a hospital and an Embassy of the Kingdom of God.
